Team Bias

A little while back, I watched a video where people shared their perspectives on arranged marriages. Some were married through arranged marriages, some were unmarried, and others were married through love marriages. As I watched, I noticed that most of them didn’t speak against their chosen type of marriage. It was as if they had picked their side and didn’t want to say anything negative about it. Those who had arranged marriages had nothing negative to say, and the same went for those in love marriages. They were both biased toward their own “team”. Only the unmarried individuals had views that overlapped with both teams. This got me thinking about something that we’ll call “team biases”. Let’s talk about it!
